Less dazzle, more useful — that applies here too. This page explains, in plain terms, what happens to your information when you visit workbench.locker. The short version: this is a small, informational site, it takes no payments and has no sign-up or contact form, and it does not track you for advertising unless you agree to it first.
Who is responsible
This site is run by Janine, operating as Workbench, an independent sole operator based in South Africa. For anything on this page, or to make a request about your information, email hello@workbench.locker.
What information is collected, and why
There are no accounts, no newsletter, and no contact form on this site, so you are not asked to hand over personal details. A small amount of information is still handled automatically when any website loads:

Cookies and similar technologies
Cookies are small files a site can store in your browser. This site keeps them to a minimum and sorts them into two groups:
Strictly necessary
- A small setting that remembers your cookie choice, so you are not asked on every page.
- Cloudflare may set a security cookie to protect the site from abuse.
These are needed for the site to work and are not used to track you. The site’s analytics (Cloudflare Web Analytics) are cookieless.
Marketing — optional, only with consent
- The LinkedIn Insight Tag, the Meta Pixel and their cookies load only if you click “Accept” on the banner. If you decline, or ignore the banner, it never loads.
You can change your mind at any time using the Cookie settings link in the footer, or by clearing your browser’s site data for workbench.locker. To opt out of LinkedIn advertising more broadly, you can also use the controls in your LinkedIn account settings.
Who your information is shared with
Information is not sold, and is only handled by the service providers that make the site run: Cloudflare (hosting, security and analytics), Google (fonts), Zoho (email), and — only with your consent — LinkedIn (advertising measurement). Each has its own privacy terms. This site also links out to Fiverr, Gumroad and LinkedIn; once you follow one of those links you are on their platform, under their privacy policies, not this one.
Where your information is processed
Some of these providers process data on servers outside South Africa, including in the EU and the United States. They offer their own legal safeguards for those transfers as part of their services.
How long it is kept
Server logs and aggregate analytics are kept only as long as needed for security and to understand site usage, then discarded or retained in aggregate. Emails are kept as long as needed to correspond with you and to keep reasonable business records.
Your rights
You can ask to see the information held about you, to have it corrected or deleted, or to object to how it is handled. If you accepted marketing cookies, you can withdraw that at any time as described above. To make any request, email hello@workbench.locker.
In South Africa (POPIA): you also have the right to complain to the Information Regulator (South Africa) at inforegulator.org.za.
In the EU or UK (GDPR): you additionally have rights to restrict or port your data and to complain to your local data protection authority.
Children
This site is aimed at businesses and professionals and is not directed at children under 18.
